This is a lovely place to spend half a day learning about, feeding and seeing elephants. The place used to chain elephants and allowed people to ride them. But it has been taken over by new owners committed to sustainability and providing a humane home for elephants that can no longer manage on their own in the wild. We had a great morning with our guide, Emma, who was very knowledgeable. We are also very grateful that each elephant is cared for by their own mahout. This ensures they are properly cared for. Highly recommend. Beautiful waterfalls are also a short walk away.

The tour lived up to its expectations as the elephant sanctuary was amazing, then the canoe along the fast moving river was stunning. To top it off we stopped off at a local market, view point at the peak of the mountain then finished seeing a local temple. The guide was friendly and informative and the timing was punctual which is always a bonus in my eyes. We would highly recommend!!!!!
