Description , What to expect?

[Khao Sok National Park]
Khao Sok Rainforest is a national park. Therefore, the general rules of visiting a national park apply here. For example, you are not allowed to break up trees or plants, catch animals, or take out things. And you are not allowed to leave garbage of any kind in the jungle. And most important of all, you are not allowed to explore the jungle without a licensed guide, who has been trained to know the places in the jungle well and to know what to do in an emergency situation.

[Sok River]
The best way to explore Khao Sok Rainforest is by bamboo rafting through its long Sok River. Sok River goes deep into the heart of Khao Sok Rainforest and passes through the area near Cheow Lan Lake located in the north part of the rainforest.

From the Sok River, you will be able to see the mountains and limestone cliffs of the lake in the backdrop of your view. And you will also see all kinds of ancient rainforest trees, plants, flowers or animals that live along the river.

[Bamboo Rafting]
For hundreds of years, before there was any road, bamboo rafting had been traditionally the most economical mode of mass transport across Thailand. Back then, people who lived in remote villages would transport things in a large number like chicken, pigs, vegetables, or rubber to markets by bamboo rafting.

Bamboo could easily be found along a river. And the rafts could be made in a matter of hours. After use, the bamboo could be re-used for other purposes such as chicken or pig coops.

[Khao Sok Elephants]
The elephants you are going to meet are from Khao Sok Rainforest. They were born and grew up in Khao Sok Rainforest alongside humans. As we now use an Ethical and Eco-Tourism Concept, elephants can be elephants. Elephants are not poached, ridden, overworked nor abused.

Those elephants live their happy life in their original place. They come to meet you only when you want to meet, feed, and bathe them.

Afterwards, don’t forget to take a refreshing dip with the elephants!
